Most of us thrive with some sort of routine. While we enjoy the break that holidays and vacations bring, we also love our schedules and our daily habits that make us feel secure and productive. When we’re feeling a bit off or struggling with our health, whether our mental, physical, or spiritual health, one great way to press the reset button is to invest in new routine habits to turn things around. We all know that every aspect of true health and wellness is primarily about being proactive, so let’s all take some time to create and stick to new routine health habits to bring about a greater life for ourselves and our families.

Get Moving

Regular physical activity is one of the best things we can do for ourselves and our loved ones. Maybe it’s a nightly walk, a morning yoga session, or an afternoon stop at the gym. Either way, getting up and getting moving is absolutely vital to every aspect of our health. Not only does it help us manage our weight, but it also reduces stress, improves mood, and fights fatigue. It also helps us make better choices throughout the day, such as how much water we drink and what foods we consume. Aim to get moving for several minutes every single day, even if that means running up and down the stairs after dinner or cranking out some pushups in the living room.

Get Hydrated

Just like physical activity, hydration is vital to your health and wellness. Your body absolutely needs water to function well, and when it’s dehydrated, dysfunction can wreak havoc across your entire body. Not only will certain systems be out of whack and improperly working, but your mental health will suffer as well. You may deal with foggy thoughts, depression and anxiety, and mood swings. Additionally, your digestion will suffer, your immune health will decrease, and your brain won’t retain information or support growth in the way that it should. The best way to figure out how much water you need daily is to take your weight in pounds and divide it by two. You need to drink that many ounces of water each day, at the minimum, for the best results for your health.

Get Adjusted

Water and exercise are needed to keep you thriving, and chiropractic care only compounds on those things to make your entire body more effective and more productive in attaining true health. Because adjustments focus on your central nervous system, they will help to positively impact function across your entire body. When there are no interruptions in brain-body communication, everything is able to work as it should, and your body can avoid sickness, recover from injury, and process everything more effectively. Chiropractic care is essential to your overall health and wellness, and we encourage you to make it a part of your routine health habits today.
