James Boyce Park
James Boyce Park is a small but delightful park. The baseball field is a local favorite and watching a game there on a sunny day is a treat. The walking paths are peaceful, and the playground is often buzzing with the sound of laughing children. Its size gives it a friendly, neighborhood feel that I absolutely love. Beyond its baseball field and walking paths, James Boyce Park has a charming picnic area that’s perfect for family gatherings. The park’s butterfly garden is another highlight, particularly in the warmer months. It also hosts a variety of community events, from summer concerts to Easter egg hunts for the local children.
James Boyce Park, named after a local community advocate, was developed in the late 1970s. Over the years, it has become a popular recreational spot for residents in southeast Charlotte. A great place to visit is Marion Diehl Park
